Biography
Jeroen De Beer (°1995) is a Belgian violinist. He takes his first lessons with Karel Ingelaere at the Stedelijk Conservatorium in Bruges. He graduates both solo violin and chamber music with highest distinction.
In 2012, Jeroen continues his studies and is accepted to the young talent program at the Royal Conservatory Antwerp in the class of Tatiana Samouil. After he finishes his Bachelor and Master in Antwerp, Jeroen continues his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne with Barnabás Kelemen where he graduates in 2020. Since 2021, Jeroen studies baroque violin with Joanna Huszcza at the Conservatory of Brussels.
Already from an early age he takes masterclasses both home and abroad with renowned violinists such as Natalia Lomeiko, Julia Fischer, Tanja Becker-Bender, Jan Talich, Dora Schwarzberg, Shlomo Mintz, Alexei Moshkov, Lena Neudauer, Sigiswald Kuijken, Giuiliano Carmignola and many more.
Jeroen is also very active as a chamber musician. He is a member of the Sonoro Quartet with whom he won the third prize and two special prizes at the Bartók World Competition for String Quartet in Budapest. Playing over 40 concerts a year in countries as Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, and Ireland, they are one of the most active string quartets of Belgium. In 2019 the quartet is accepted at the Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie (NSKA) where they attend lessons from renowned professors such as Marc Danel (Danel Quartet), Pierre Colombet (Quatuor Ebène), Eberhard Feltz, Stefaan Metz and many more.
Jeroen also plays in Ryelandt Trio. With this piano trio he becomes laureate of several competitions and performes the triple concerto from Alexander Tcherepnin in the Théâtre Royal de la Monnai. In 2021 they won the first prize at the International Léopold Bellan competition in Paris and in 2022 they received the second prize at the France Music Competition.
In 2014 they release their first CD with works from Edison Denisov, Juon and bridge but also from Flemisch composers such as Piet Swerts, Erik Desimpelaere and Marc Matthys. With their next album Late Romantic Piano Trios from Flanders, released in 2021, they recorded some world premieres from Flemish composers Joseph Ryelandt and Joseph Callaerts.
Ryelandt Trio attaches great importance to music from Belgium and to less known music. They perform repertoire ranging from early Baroque (performed historically) to contemporary music.

As an orchestra musician he gains experience in orchestras such as Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (Flemish Opera), National Orchestra of Belgium, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Brussels Chamber Orchestra Bryggen Strings and Boho Strings. Jeroen is a member of Baroque ensemble Il Gardellino and plays often with Le Concert Olympique. In 2020 Jeroen was selected to lead the 2nd violins in the new academy orchestra of Collegium Vocale Ghent, lead by Philippe Herreweghe.
