Biography

Jeroen De Beer (°1995) is a Belgian violinist. He takes his first lessons with Karel Ingelaere at the Stedelijk Conservatorium in Bruges. He graduates both solo violin and chambermusic with highest distinction.

In 2012, Jeroen continues his studies and is accepted to the young talent program at the Royal Conservatory Antwerp in the class of Tatiana samouil. 

After he finishes his Bachelor and Master in Antwerp, Jeroen got accepted in the class from Barnabas Kelemen at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, where he is still studying. 

 

Already from an early age he takes masterclasses both home and abroad with renowned violinists such as Natalia Lomeiko, Julia Fischer, Tanja Becker-Bender, Jan Talich, Dora Schwarzberg, Shlomo Mintz, Alexei Moshkov, Lena Neudauer, Sigiswald Kuijken, Giuiliano Carmignola and many more. 

As a soloist, Jeroen plays with Brussels Chamber Orchestra, Da Capo Ghent, Artis Dulcedo, the orchestra from Stedelijk Conservatorium in Bruges and becomes laureate of competitions such as Vlamo, Marnixfactor and Belfius Classics. 

 

As an orchestramusician he gains experience in orchestras such as Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (Flemish Opera), National Orchestra of Belgium, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Brussels Chamber Orchestra and more. With these orchestras he plays in concert venues like Palais de Beaux-arts, Queen Elisabethall, The National Theatre Brno (CZE), Opera Gent, Opera Antwerp, National Concert hall of Taipei (TWN), Music Hall of the National Library of Beijing (CHN) etc. 

 

Jeroen is also very active as a chambermusician. He is a member of the Sonoro Quartet where he already played for the German television (SWR) at the Beethovenfest in Bonn. In 2019 the quartet is accepted at the Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie (NSKA) where they attend lessons from renowned professors such as Marc Danel (Danel Quartet), Lukas Hagen (Hagen Quartet), Eberhard Feltz, Stefaan Metz and many more.

Jeroen also plays in the ensemble Trio Telepatico. With this piano trio he becomes laureate of several competitions and performes the triple concerto from Alexander Tcherepnin in the Théâtre Royal de la Monnai. In 2014 they release their first CD. 

With this trio, Jeroen takes lessons with artists such as Justus Grimm, France Springuel, Beate Hartmann, Dagmar Brauns, Diana Ketler etc. 

Jeroen performs also on different festivals such as Pietrasanta in Concerto, Super Cello Festival Bejing, Beethovenfest Bonn, JanáčekFestival, CIEC Chamber music Festival, Festival Academy Budapest where he can perform with artists like Tatiana Samouil, Brussels Chamber Orchestra, Dmitry Smirnov, Jonathan Cohen, Maximilian Hornung, Barnabas Kelemen in concert venues like the Liszt Academy Budapest, National Theatre Brno, de Bijloke, Amuz etc.
